Overview
The Current Account Balance calculates the difference in value between exported and imported goods, services and interest payments over the reported month. The goods portion is the same as the monthly Trade Balance figure. Because foreigners must use the yen to pay for the Japan's exports, the data can have a sizable impact on the currency’s value.
A reading that is stronger than forecast is generally supportive (bullish) for the JPY , while a weaker than forecast reading is generally negative (bearish) for the JPY
