Indian Market Outlook: Yesterday, the Indian Benchmark Index Nifty closed at 9429,which was 97 points below its previous day’s close of 9526. Bosch (NS:BOSH) down by 3.83%, Grasim by 3.46%, Hindalco by 2.44%, Tata Motors (NS:TAMO) by 2.48%, Yes Bank (NS:YESB) by 3.68% were among the top losers in the Index.
The support level of Nifty is 9298 which is its Week1 low.
Bank Nifty last day was down by 237 points. The Index closed at 22699. Yes Bank down by 3.68%, Federal Bank (NS:FED) by 3.22%, PNB by 3.97% were among the top losers in the Index. Bank Nifty has its support at 22578 which is its Week1 low.
Small Cap Index, last day was down by 2.35%.The Index closed at 7457 after making a low of 7441.
Nifty to open gap up by 20 points at 9456.50 against yesterdays close of 9436 as per SGX Nifty.
CASH SEGMENT FII AND DII ACTIVITY:
On 18th May 17, FII sold Rs.360.59 Crore in cash segment. DII bought Rs.897.96 Crore. In combined FII and DII have a net buy figure of Rs.537.37 Crore.
OPEN INTEREST IN INDEX FUTURES:
In the Current Expiry, FIIs are net sellers of 68115 contracts in Index Future, since on the starting of the expiry, ie, on 28th Apr, the net Open Interest was 150478 and as on last date, ie, on 17th May, the net figure is 82363. PRO have a net sell figure of 5414 contracts in the expiry, since on the starting date, ie, on 28th Apr, the net figure was (-)61721 and on the last date, ie, on 17th May, the net figure is (-)67135.Combined they have a net sell figure of 73529 contracts.
OPEN INTEREST IN INDEX OPTIONS:
In the Current Expiry, FIIs are net buyers of 124251 contracts in Index options, since on the starting of the expiry, ie, on 28th Apr, the net Open Interest was (-)172803 and as on last date, ie, on 17thMay, the net figure is(-)48552. PRO have a net buy figure of 130198 contracts in the expiry, since on the starting date, ie, on 28th Apr, the net figure was 127324 and on the last date, ie, on 17th May, the net figure is 257522.In combined they have a net buy figure of 224449 contracts in the expiry.
INTERNATIONAL MARKET UPDATE:
In International markets, S&P500 gave a lacklustre movement yesterday after a big sell off on Wednesday. Yesterday the Index made a low of 2344 and is currently trading at 2362.
German Index Dax yesterday closed 12590, the Index recently made a high of 12841.
MSCI Emerging market Index is trading at 986, it has corrected almost 30 points from its recent high of 1015 showing profit booking in Emerging markets. Crucial support for Index is at 973.
